Former Wisconsin prep wrestlers on NCAA D1 rosters

College wrestling programs across the nation held their first official practices this week. In total, 44 former Wisconsin high school wrestlers are on NCAA Division 1 rosters.

The University of Wisconsin boasts the highest number of Wisconsin natives with 17 (which is just under its five-year average of 17.2). North Dakota State is tops among the remaining schools with five products from the Badger State on its roster.

Both Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) and Oconto Falls High School produced three active Division 1 grapplers, the most of any high school in the state. Amery and Ellsworth each have two alumni at the highest level of collegiate folkstyle wrestling. No other school in the state has more than two.
